Dear friends,
I have some exciting news! Those who will join us this Saturday for a conversation about Terrence Malick’s Days of Heaven will also be given free, time-limited access to one of Jaap van Heusden’s award winning films, In Blue. HERE is the trailer. I am thrilled that Jaap–a very accomplished film writer and director that I met at L’Abri Fellowship years ago–will be joining our conversation this Saturday.
You can see a list of Jaap’s films HERE, although this does not include the adaptation of Flannery O’Connor’s story “The Lame Shall Enter First” that he created for Dutch television. His most recent film, The Man from Rome, is still on the festival circuit (and looks fascinating!). Because of European copyright and distribution laws, it is difficult to see Jaap’s films in the U.S.–but he has kindly offered to share access to In Blue just for those joining Saturday’s discussion. You can see Jaap speaking briefly about the film HERE at a red carpet event in Rome.
